It's Thursday, go leave a comment on a blog!
One of the greatest things you can do for a blogger is leave comments on their posts. Many bloggers pour their heart and soul in to their blog posts and unless somebody speaks up and leaves a comment, it can be very discouraging. For that reason I am trying to start a new movement called #CommentThursday on Twitter.
Though you should do it all the time, every Thursday please take an extra minute or two and leave a comment on somebody’s blog. I promise you will be making their day. Then, if you want to help spread the word, send a tweet telling the world. Include the hashtag #CommentThursday. For example:
Blogging isn’t just about writing for the sake of writing. It’s about building a community of people with shared interests. Get out there and help build a community today (and every Thursday!)

Well, interesting I came across this page. I didn't realise that there was something like this around, as it seems rather a good ideas, especially to get people to read your blog. Think I will make it a point to go and specifically comment on other blogs on a Thursday

Most of the people like to comment and this is one of te main reasons that blogging has caught up so fast. It makes the web more social and interactive. Have marked you out on twitter.
LOL I wish I was able to get comments on my blog! Maybe I just need to be more interesting or something I dunno. But I like the idea so I will do that on thursday, a little extra and maybe the good karma will come back to me eh?
As you well said, blogging is about building a community of people with shared interests where everybody can express his or her own point of view. Personally, I like commenting on blog articles I find interesting and I call people's attention onto them. You can always learn something new from a nice blog post.
