What’s going on in downtown Vegas?

You've probably seen me tweet or post about the amazing things going on in downtown Las Vegas over the past year or so. But, if you aren't from the area and haven't had a chance to experience what's been going on, it may just sound like I'm over excited about the fact that there's now a WordPress meetup or a place to go and work with some other like-minded folks. That's cool. I get it.

In a city with such a specific reputation as Las Vegas, I fully understand that it's going to take time to convince outsiders that things are happening. There's a shift going on. No, we aren't getting rid of the Strip. No, the gamling isn't going away. But maybe, just maybe, Vegas can also start to be seen as a place with a cool downtown community. A place you will want to visit NOT because of the reasons most people come to Vegas now, but because it's a damn cool place to hang out.
